John Mahoney


John Mahoney is one of the founding partners of Mahoneys and is widely regarded as the pre-eminent specialist management rights lawyer in Australia.

Since leaving his previous company and establishing Mahoneys in 2002, the firm has grown steadily. They now have the largest management rights legal team in Australia with more than ten lawyers working in the management rights area, covering the full spectrum of services, from buying and selling and dispute resolution, to advice, negotiating variations and extensions.

John has been intimately involved in management rights, as well as related legislation development and amendments, for almost twenty-five years. He is the author of many articles on management rights and lectured on body corporate law at the University of Queensland. He is also a past senior vice president of the Urban Development Institute of Australia.

John and his team are sought after for their experience in dispute resolution and negotiating outcomes without the need for expensive litigation.
